What To Expect:
1. 5 Fundamentals and 8 rules rules to great acting – These rules and fundamentals remind us to stay on track in route to inevitable success through persistence. Knowing how to stay on track when just starting out is critical when it come to realizing your potential. This is a major problem for actors just starting out.
2. How to evolve in your craft – Acting at its best is a tool of self observation. The craft demand that you know yourself and in knowing yourself your characters become more interesting. The Ardavany Approach emphasizes a wholistic approach to acting rooted firmly in reality. This opens the door to the possibility of great acting blowing the lid off limitation.
3. Imagination: Learning the difference between proper and improper use of imagination is key to every facet of becoming an effective actor. Wether it’s character development, script analysis or crafting a an on-camera moment the imagination is paramount. On the other side of the coin the actors greatest nemesis is his own imagination. All fear, doubt and worry are results of improper use of imagination. This class will shine light on how to get control of a runaway imagination allowing for the creative process to take front and centre.
4. Creating on-camera moments: There are two kind of acting moments: Realizations and discoveries, learn what this is, how to find and create them. Finessing the CLOSE-UP requires this understanding.
5. Learn the value of your presence: In this class you will learn what presence is and how to cultivate it and use it in your work to impact the audience.
6. Reactive environments: Learn how not to activate a space. (Essential understanding in CGI environments)
The Ardavany Approach helps actors/directors overcome their fears and connect to their power and creativity. It blends cold reading, scene study, interactive exercises, on-camera experience and other tools to help the actor.
